NYSDCA Holds Inaugural Meeting

NYSDCA—The New York State Debate Coaches Association invited coaches from the Empire State to join us at the inaugural meeting of our organization. At the meeting, which was announced on this web site, the organization was formally constituted and there was discussion of major items as outlined in the agenda below.

The meeting took place at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 4, 2010. We thank Harry Feder, director of debate at the Beacon School, for securing meeting spcae at Friedman Kaplan Seiler and Adelman LLP, which is located at 1633 Broadway (cross street is 50th Street) in Manhattan.

The New York State Debate Coaches Association seeks to to grow debate in the state, to develop infrastructure that responds to the contemporary and growing needs of the evolving debate community in the state, and to recognize the significant accomplishments of debaters, debate coaches, and debate programs in the state.
