The first annual NYSDCA State Tournament will take place on April 1 and 2 at Brooklyn Technical High School. Brooklyn Tech is located at:

To qualify, a student/team needs 4 points. In the team debate activities, each member of the team must have 4 points, but not necessarily as that team. At least 2 points must be achieved at a tournament physically in New York State. Tournaments with elimination rounds (breaking less than 50% of a division) = anyone breaking to the first elim round gets 4 points. Tournaments without elimination rounds (minimum of three rounds and 5 schools participating) = top 25% = 2 points. All member schools allowed one at-large entry in each event (not each level of each event).

Fees for the tournament: $20 per person.

Qualifying Tournaments

All Metro-Hudson League, IMPACT Coalition, LIFA and other tournaments in New York State.
   All invitational tournaments in the New England states, New Jersey and Pennsylvania
   All sanctioned events on the NYSDCA Calendar (events not on this calendar-in-progress may still qualify, as per the information above)
